Introducing Dayne Gregory!!!

He was born January 17th at 2:22 am via C-section.  He weighed 8lbs 4.5oz and 19.5in long.  We all worked really hard to get him here safe and sound.  We also tried really hard to avoid a c-section but despite our best efforts he had to come that way.  I don’t have Internet at home so I had limited access to pictures because I am at my sisters.  I could only download ones on my email.  I have so many more that are wonderful of the family and their new addition!!!  They are the sweetest family!!!!  They look so precious all together.  When I can get access to those pictures I will post them.

My water broke on Wednesday around 11am so I went to L&D and got on the monitors.  I was able to walk and by 9pm I was hurting because I was at 7cm.  I held out that long to try to progress as long as I could on my own.  So I got the epidural at 9pm and felt sooooooo much better!!!  Unfortunately I stalled out in my labor and was unable to pick up a regular contraction pattern.  I was nervous I would have to have a c-section.  My OB started me on pitocin and have me until 1:30am to progress.  I didn’t and off we went to c-section land.  It was fine.  We all did a great job especially the OB!!! 

I really can’t explain the feeling I felt when I heard him cry for the first time.  I think it will be etched in my mind forever!!  Just knowing all the hard work for the last 9months heck for the last almost 2yrs was finally at the best part.  This family that we love finally were now complete and we were a part of it!!! 

I will forever be changed by bringing this little miracle in the world and knowing God blessed me with a gift that I am able to share.  I really feel like this is a gift that God has allowed me to give.
