Quick update

Well this baby is already over 8lbs because we did a bio physical profile sono at our appt last week 8lbs 4oz to be exact.  We made it to 38weeks + and our OB says it is safe for him to come plus she doesn’t want me to go any further than this week.  I am still 3cm 50% effaced and -2 station and have been since 12-31-07.  We go to the OB tomorrow and if he has not come on his own before Friday we will go in the hospital and she will break my water because she doesn’t want him to be 9lbs and not come out.  She will give me 24 hrs to go on my own and then I will have to have a c-section. 

I am feeling pretty tired but was able to go back to work last week.  It is kind of good because I get my mind of not doing anything with labor.  We will be 38weeks 4days on Friday.  I am not sure if I have made any changes or not I have been having contractions but they are not regular enough to go to L&D but the next time I post it will be the announcement of the baby and my birth story!!!

This baby wants out!!!!

Well it has been interesting since Christmas.  This little baby wants to come out already.  I bet he just wants to be in his mom and dad’s arms!!! 

I found out on Wednesday, December 26th that I was 1cm dilated and 25% thinned out.  I was really surprise!!!  So some of the activity was contractions.  I got nervous and asked her to check me on Friday before we go through the weekend and I was going to be off until Wednesday the next week due to New Years so that was 5 days.  When she checked me I was the same but I had thinned out 25% more to 50% in 2 days!!!!  I was nervous.  The baby is still to little to come.  He was 35 weeks.  37-40 is considered term.  So it was bed rest for me.  until I see her on Wednesday.  Well mister man wanted to come that next night because I was in labor and I went to the hospital around 10pm Saturday night the 29th.  They stopped my labor with a shot and sent me home.  Rested that day because I didn’t get to bed until 3am.  That night about 1am 12-31-07 I went back to the hospital for more labor.  They checked me and I was 3cm dilated and he came down in the pelvis some!!!  They stopped my labor because I was only 36weeks and sent me home.  We got to bed at 5am that time.  My poor husband and I were soooooooo pooped!!!  Well the baby has been quite since then and I have not made any changes.  I was put on bedrest and today is my 1st day back at work.  We are now 37weeks so it is safe for his arrival any time now.  I go back to the OB on Wednesday and she will strip my membranes to hopefully put me into labor.  We shall see!!!

It kind of sucked being on bed rest that weekend and week because we had plans to go to Main Event a huge game place to play with the kids.  It is ok though because we want to do what is best for this baby.  I feel so blessed to be able to carry such precious cargo for a dear sweet couple!!!!!!!!  Our family is taking such good care of him and working hard to give him the best start for him and his family!!! Thank you G & R for such a precious responsibility.  Y’all are the best!!!!!!!!

Christmas and baby update

What a wonderful end to the year!!!!!!  We had a great Christmas!!  I hope you enjoy the pictures.  Some are from our get together at my IP’s house the day before Christmas eve.  Their little daughter is so cute singing to her baby brother and hugging him.  I just love the pictures of the mom and dad with their hands making a heart on their baby!!!  We had a wonderful time!!! 

Most of my family gathered on Christmas Eve including my cousins and their daughter just like we used to.  We has soooooooo much food and it was a wonderful time.  Of course we has a lot of presents and laughter.  That was followed by a Christmas morning with at our own homes.  After that we went to my moms to have Christmas Brunch.  Again sooooooo much food!!!!  It was yummy.  We all watched a movie and cleaned up then went our separate ways.  What a wonderful holiday.

 On the baby front, I went to the OB yesterday and to my surprise I am 1cm dilated, my cervix is soft and 25% shorter!!!!  Looks like this baby doesn’t want to wait until January 28th to come!!!  We are so excited and I just can’t wait for the Mom and Dad to hold their baby boy.  We go to the OB next week and it is on to every week appts from now on.  If there is any news to report next week I will post a blog. 

We are going to go to Main Event which is a game place for New Years.  They have bowling, laser tag, TONS of video games, and pool.  On that night you pay to get in and everything is free to do including a buffet.  We are very excited.

Being Thankful!!! (song on)

The pictures in the slide show are of our Christmas tree and the naughty kitty in it.  Mark helped us put it up.  Some of the other pictures are of Thanksgiving and when Mark came to visit and of my family.

We have had a busy month again!!! A lot has happened since the middle of November.  We had Thanksgiving which we thought was going to be a bust but turned out to be wonderful.  My mom was out of town so we weren’t going to have a Thanksgiving on my side but we pulled it out at the last minute so have it on Sunday.  We had a wonderful time and it’s really not Thanksgiving until I have my Mom’s herb bread stuffing!!!  Love ya MOM!!! 

We had Grandpa Mark come to visit for 8 whole days.  We all totally love it when he is here!!!  He fits right in.  He is from Washington State and was excitied to get away from the cold but it followed him and we has some pretty cold weather.  Sorry Mark.  We had such a great time!!!  He took us and my best friend and he son who stayed the weekend to Mideaval Times in Dallas!!!!  Oh man the men with the long hair!!!!  Ours was the most good looking!!  He even threw me the flower but Andrew caught it and WASN’T letting me have it.  He had such a great time even thought he didn’t eat any of his food.  (What’s new)  Thanks for the wondeful week Mark.  Love ya!!!

I really enjoyed time with my family and Jaimie my neice was home from school so we got to hang out with her.  There is always a lot of stories and laughter and of course food when we all get together.  It was nice to see my cousins and all my neices and nephews for Thanksgiving!!!  Taylor even played the flute.  She also played with my brother in law at Moms.  She is a real pro!!!!  Love ya Taylor.

My OB visits have been going well.  As I write this we are almost 34 weeks.  Only 6 more to go!!!!!!  Wow that is so fast.  Seems like it has flown by.  I can’t wait to see this little guy in the arms of his mom and dad!!!  What a miracle.  Kids are just that no matter how they get to your arms.  We feel very blessed to have been a part of this journey with such great people.  

I didn’t gain any weight at my last visit, so it is still 10 lbs for the whole pregnancy.  My BP is great and I have little swelling in my feet.  The baby who is named Dayne Gregory (so regal)  is consitantly measuring 2 weeks ahead so at our visit this week he measured 35 weeks.  We shall see when he decided to get here. 

I have all my Christmas shopping done and wrapped.  Mom helped me wrap them.  We had fun!!  I will miss her when she is gone like to heaven so I very much treasure the little moments we have together.  Like when I snuck in at work to see her at her lunch break during her meeting and she was stroking my hand while we were talking.  I love you Momma!!! 

This weekend we are having Andrew’s 10th birthday party.  It will be a laser tag event.  He is soooooooo excited!!!  

I won’t post until after Christmas so every one Merry Christmas!!!!!!

29w OB visit

Our busy time has already started for the holiday’s!!  My hubby and I just celebrated 12yrs of Marriage!!!!!  It has been so wonderful and I can honestly say he really is the one made for me!!!  We are a match made in heaven and it gets better as the years go by!!!  We went out for our Anniversary this last weekend and had a great time.  You know it really takes a special man to deal with his wife being pregnant (with a big belly that gets in the way) with another family’s baby and still be able to connect with me as a person and his wife!!  Honey I love you!!!!!!!!!!  We had a great time. 

This coming weekend my cousins and their little girl are coming to stay for a few days and we are so excited!!!  After that our friend from Washington who we affectionately call Grandpa Mark will be coming to stay a week for Thanksgiving.  I am really excited about that.  Then we are going to have our 1st Thanksgiving at our house.  My Mom is going to be out of town so we will have it at our house.  I hope I do her justice!!!!  Love ya Momma.

After Thanksgiving we are going to plan a get together with my IP’s and then it is Andrew’s birthday #10 and Christmas.  After that is New Years, throw some OB visits in there for good measure and there will be a baby born in January!!!!!!!  Wow such a busy time!!!!  

 So on to the OB visit.  I was 29 weeks and 1 day when I went yesterday and by sono the sweetie measured 30 weeks and 4 days!!!  Wow he might be a biggen!!!  So based on the measurement our due date would be 1-18-08.  I don’t think she will change it but that is what it would be if she did.  His heart rate was great.  I only gained 1 lb and my blood pressure was fine.  My belly was measuring 31 weeks so we have measured 2 weeks ahead for 1 1/2 months.  We go back in 2 weeks and I will update then.

Halloween and IP’s get together update

We have had a great month!!!  It was a busy one with my daughters birthday and all but this post will be about our OB visit.  I gained 4 lbs in 2 weeks!!!!!!!!  WOW but it only makes 5 total so were ok.  The OB said you just can’t do this every visit lol!!!  My b/p was 118/78 wonderful, and I had a little swelling but it might have been due to my legs hanging on the bed waiting for the OB he he he.  I passed my 1hr GTT (can’t remember if I said that already).  It was the 1st time I have passed it in all of my pregnancies!!!!  We have our next visit on the 13th and she will do a sono then to check the baby’s weight and my fluid levels.  I have always had a lot of amniotic fluid so that may be the weight gain.  We are 28 weeks today which is  7 months exactly!!  Wow we have less than 3 months to go.  I can’t wait to see my IP’s with their little boy!!!  Our next visit is the 13th of November and I will be 29 weeks and 1 day.  We are going every two weeks which is really exciting!!! 

We had a great time on Halloween.  We went to our church for a fall festival and the kids got a lot of candy!!!  I was a pumpkin smuggler.  I had that logo on my t-shirt and a pumpkin painted on my face.  My kids were a Egyptian princess and a red ninja.  They had a great time and of course got a lot of candy. 

Last Saturday we went to the Grapevine mills mall to meet with my IP’s.  We had so much fun!!!  The kids went ice skating for a little while and then we window shopped until it was time to eat at the Rain Forest Cafe.  It was very loud there!!!  Afterwards we went to a coffee shop and looked around while I sat in a comfy chair and my IF was able to feel his little munchkin move some!!  Mom felt him roll over at our visit just a few days before.  I am so blessed to have the IP’s I have.  They are really involved and the Mom comes to every OB visit!!!  They are such a great couple and we feel just as lucky as they do to be apart  of this journey together. 

I will update in the next few weeks on how our OB visits are and Thanksgiving!!!

October’s update!!!

What a great month we had!!!  Below is a slide show of pictures from Taylor’s birthday.  We had such a great time!!!

Well Chris is still recovering from his shoulder surgery. Poor guy!!  He still cannot get comfortable.  I feel so bad for him.

I went to the OB today and my bp was 114/70 perfect!!!  I am officially up 1 pound from my prepregnancy weight and the baby’s heart rate was 147 perfect also!!!  We did the 1 hr glucose test today and I am praying I passed it!!!  I haven’t passed the 1hr with my other pregnancies but I always passed the 3hr.  I want to avoid the 3hr so I hope I passed the 1hr.  I will know sometime next week.  We officially start seeing the OB every 2 weeks now.  So our next visit is at Halloween!!!  OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH~~~~~~~~~ Scary.

    We are really popping out there now.  We are 25 weeks and 2 days and today we measured 27 weeks and 2 days. 

I made my IP’s a care package because they are going to Italy on Saturday!!!  Chow!!  I am so excited for them and can’t wait to hear all about it. 

We are just going to be gearing up for the holidays and preparing to have this baby!!!

21week OB visit

Today I went to the OB and both of the parents were there.  It is still a boy!!!!!! Whew!!!!!  A big boy based on the sono he he.  They were so happy.  The Dad was just beside himself with all the wonder of the baby’s features.  They did all the measuring today of all the organs and belly and head.  There is no spinabifida, cleft pallat, or neuro difformity!!!!  We even saw the little nose and mouth.  Some of y’all may think it is stupid but when I saw the nose and mouth is was just sooooo cute it reminded me of my cat.  When babies are this small there upper lip is more pronounced and it just looked like the sweet face of my kitty who I love very much!!!  Boy was this boy active.  We even saw him to a karate 1, 2 punch by his face.  How cute!!!!  The parents were so happy and it was really a special time. 

We got to hear his heart beat and it was great at 150.  Also when they were listning to the heart beat we could hear him moving around so much!!  Infact both of the parents got to feel their baby move on my tummy!!!  It was very touching.  The got to feel their baby move for the 1st time.  I am just so excited for them!!!!!!!! 

Well the rest of the visit went great and after next months visit we move to every 2 weeks.  Wow I can’t belive it is moving so fast!!!  As far as the weight gain, I lost 4 lbs in the first trimester and just now gained 2 lbs back so we are still 2 lbs down from the prepregnancy weight.  Whoooooooooo Hooooooooooo.  Everything is fine with the baby and he is growing very nicely and is healthy as am I. Here is my 21week belly.   This is also a silly pic I took of my belly.  I was on my Mom’s deck and took it with my cell phone at the very top of my belly close to my body.  funny!!!!

 On to my other life, Chris had shoulder surgery last week and is sooooo much pain.  We go for his post-op visit tomorrow so hopefull they will have good news about the projected recovery. 

The kids are back in school and it is going well.  As long as I stay on top of them doing their homework ha ha ha.  Here is a picture of Andrew in his new haircut.  I was eating lunch with him and we had fun!!!

17w OB visit and we know what it is!!

Well this has been a busy month for me.  First my brother came to visit with his 2 kids from New Mexico and stayed with us for about a week.  We had such a great time!!  We went to the science museum to see the Star Wars exibit (soooo cool) then we went to the Cow Girl Hall of Fame museum which was a lot of fun!! We also got to get some yummy lunch from Mexican Inn and take it to Chris’s work to eat with him.  It was really special for the kids to eat with their Uncle Chris!!!  The rest of the week they swam, went fishing, swam some more, went swimming at my sisters, and then I think one last time went swimming.  They adopted one of our baby rats which was nice and his little one Cami was so entranced by it!!  She wasn’t scared or anything.

My neice Jaimie came down this month too.  She is so wonderful.  She went school shopping with Taylor and I which was a big help cause I don’t know ANYTHING!!!  Here is there picture in the dressing room.

My kids came to work with me on a day we didn’t have any cases and help me restock the anesthesia supplies.  They are such big helpers.  Here is a picture of them all suited up!!!

We went to my IP’s for lunch on Saturday this past week and has such a wonderful time!!!!!  They have a beautiful home and the kids were just amazed.  They also have a pool so the kids were right at home swimming and having a great time with their daughter who is 6.  We took some pictures and my IM has better one’s but here are the 2 that I have.

 Well now for some more good stuff!!!  We went to the OB for our 17week visit which is 4 months and 1 week.  She measured my belly and I am measuring 18weeks.  We were 17weeks and 2 days to be exact.  She also found the heart beat right away and it was beating nice and strong at 155!!!!  Yea little baby!!  So we went to the sono room to take a look at the baby and right away they could see what it was!!!  BUT they were not telling us because what the OB wanted to do was keep it a secret and put it in an evelope so she could open it with her hubby.  Well that didn’t work cause we were just tooooo excitied!!!   We saw the cutest little face and we saw hands, fingers, toes, feet, legs, arms, spine, belly and a wennie.  Yup they are having a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Oh man was my IF soooooo excitied!!!!  The IM was a little more in shock.  It was so cute and wonderful and just the best experience I could have with them!!!  We go back on Sept. 19th for the anatomy sono and the IF will be there to see their little Boy just a moving and shaking all around!!!

What a fun and exciting time for all of us!!  We are so happy and my due date is now 1-28-08.  Wow it is going fast.  Can’t wait till my IP’s get to hold their sweet baby boy in their arms for the first time. 

I will write again next month after our visit to the OB and am sure I will have plenty of things to say.
